The App works with WordPress.com and self-installed WordPress 2.9.2 or higher.
2. Which device will this work with?
The App works with any Windows Phone device running 7.5 and up (“Mango” phones).
3. I can’t add my blog to the app, what do I do?
First ensure that you’ve typed in the URL correctly. If it’s correct, and you are on self-hosted WordPress, verify that xmlrpc.php is functioning properly.
<link rel="EditURI" type="application/rsd+xml" title="RSD" href="http://example.com/xmlrpc.php?rsd" />
http://example.com/xmlrpc.php?rsd, and open into your browser. It should be resolved to an XML file. http://example.com/xmlrpc.php
http://example.com/xmlrpc.php).
4.I can’t access the Stats screen on self hosted sites, how do I fix that?
Ability to show comprehensive site stats for self-hosted sites is available for those sites running the JetPack Plugin or the WP.com stats plugin.
5.I’m receiving the following error: “Blog returned invalid data”. How do I fix that?
You should set the default theme and disable all active plug-ins on your blog. Next, you should try adding your blog again within the app.
(Trying it with the default theme and plugins disabled will help pin down where the problem is. If everything works then you go back and enable your theme and then try it again. If everything still works then you go back and activate each plugin one at a time until you find the one that is causing the breakage.)
My Host Blocks XML-RPC Access! How do I fix that?
I’m using Jetpack on my self-hosted WordPress install, but it keeps telling me to enter an API key. How can I fix this?
Stats using the latest version of Jetpack (jetpack.me) is currently broken in WordPress for Windows Phone. The issue has been reported, and development is being tracked: http://windowsphone.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/68. Hopefully we’ll have a fix available soon – sorry about the inconvenience.
